In a bid to support the ongoing efforts against the Australian bushfires, ESL Australia is auctioning off the camera plate signed by Team Liquid who were the winners of IEM Sydney 2019. All the proceedings collected through this auction will be donated to the NSW (New South Wales) Rural Fire Service.
The auction is being hosted on ebay.com.au and will be taking place for the next 7 days, coming to an end on 21st Jan 2020 at 16:00 AEDST (10:30 IST or 6:00 GMT). The camera plate will be mounted to a glass display plaque before being shipped to the highest bidder.
Along with the team liquid signed camera plate, the highest bidder will also be getting a Team Liquid 2019 Camo Jersey. The camera plate will contain the signatures of the following players,
- Jake “Stewie2K” Yip
- Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski
- Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken
- Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella
- Keith “NAF” Markovic
- Eric “adreN” Hoag
The Australian bushfires which have been raging on since June 2019, became a major problem for the island country around November when catastrophic fire danger was declared in the Greater Sydney region, followed by the New South Wales government declaring a state of emergency in December.
As per reports, an estimated 10.7 million hectares (107,000 sq km) of land is destroyed, at least 28 people have lost their lives, and a shocking 1.25 billion animals have been killed across the country.
Note: The above stats have been taken from Wikipedia and WWF.
The state of New South Wales is the most heavily affected region, hence ESL Australia is extending all the help that they can towards the NSW Rural Fire Service, which is a volunteer-based firefighting agency and statutory body of the Government of New South Wales.
