Team Nigma vs PSG.LGD: Match Recap and Highlights
Recap
Game 1 was a display of top-notch gameplay by PSG.LGD who played incredibly well around their spells, made the right map movements and protected their safe lane Terrorblade at all times. Their itemization was also splendid as NothingToSay chose the third item Aeon Disk on his mid Puck. Nigma never managed to stay afloat in a teamfight and lost to an extremely clinical PSG.LGD team in 34 minutes.
Game 2 was a banger. Team Nigma was able to establish a decent lead after the laning phase with Miracle- dominating on his mid lane Templar Assassin. Additionally, they came out with positive numbers in close teamfights. In the end, they made some clutch buybacks to kill the enemy throne and win the game in 36 minutes.
Game 3 saw PSG.LGD having a better draft as its fourth pick Phantom Lancer had no answers. Team Nigma pulled out a surprise offlane Broodmother as its last pick to control the tempo of the game. Though they played the early game quite well, PSG.LGD outplayed them once they hit their crucial item timings and ultimately won it in 35 minutes.
Highlights
Here are some highlights of the series.
PSG.LGD has arguably been the best team of the tournament so far. They look determined to take the Major Championship title despite already having secured a TI10 berth. They draft well and do a spectacular job of executing their roles, demonstrating high-quality Dota 2 gameplay.
Nigma, on the other hand, had been slaying it in this event, playing back-to-back matches and showing no signs of slowing down. However, they lose to a superior PSG.LGD lineup and will now journey down a path that KuroKy and his teammates have been known for - the lower bracket quest.
11 teams have booked a berth at TI10 and only direct invite remains up for grabs. If Nigma makes it to the grand finals, it takes it and if it does not, a grueling TI10 EU qualifier awaits them back home.
