  • Next, Secret will be up against Team Liquid on May 13, 2021, while OG plays Team Nigma on May 16.

OG vs Team Secret is a delight for any Dota 2 fan and their latest series in the EU 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division proved to be an edge-of-the-seat competition. The two giants of the Dota 2 scene clashed in a highly anticipated BO3 brawl and while the final scoreline read 2-0 in favor of OG at the end of the day, it was certainly not a one sided series. Both teams always looked to be in the contest but the two-time TI champions held their nerves to close the series out. OG keep their Major hopes alive as they have picked up their third win in their fith series. On the other hand, Secret’s chances of making it to the next Major have certainly taken a dent after this defeat.

OG vs Team Secret: Match Recap and Highlights

While Team Liquid outplayed Tundra Esports in the first series of the EU 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division, the stage was set for a mighty competition between Secret and OG.

Recap

Game 1 was a banger of a contest as both teams relentlessly engaged in teamfights, showing some splendid spellcasting and plays while on the other hand, also fumbling at times. The kill fest, which went on for a total of 55 minutes registering nearly 90 kills, ended in OG’s favor with Saksa stealing the show on an extraordinary Clockwerk performance.

Game 2 was another bloodbath as both teams left no stone unturned to kill each other. Once again, despite Secret coming out ahead in the laning phase, N0tail and his teammates showcased some amazing synergy in teamfights to pull back the game. Secret made comparatively more mistakes which proved to be costly as OG won the game in 42 minutes with ana fountain diving in style.

Highlights

Here are some highlights of the series.

OG, after a tough loss against Tundra Esports in their previous series, will take a lot of confidence from this victory. They are not in a very comfortable spoy on the points table but are in the race to be one of the teams from Europe to secure a Major slot. They have two challenging series coming up - against Team Nigma on May 16, 2021, and Team Liquid on May 20.

Despite still looking to be the strongest team in the initial phase, Team Secret is not in its finest touch in the current DPC season. They have had their share of highs and lows in several games and hence, find themselves on the fifth spot with just two wins in five series. Though they are almost guaranteed a TI10 slot, Puppey would want his teammates to up the ante and secure themselves at least a top-four finish in the tournament. Secret play Team Liquid on May 13, 2021.
