Ceb, who has been the mainstay of OG, explained the difference between their returning carry player, Anathan "ana" Pham, and the other carry players they have tried in the past. In the Position 6 podcast hosted by Daniel Offen, Sébastien "Ceb" Debs, stated that OG had retrieved the positive atmosphere and the team synergy that had helped them taste success, with the return of ana. He went on to talk about how other players had not been a fit in their team and how a lot of things had been enabled again with ana’s comeback.

Ceb talks about why ana and OG click and the reason behind other carry players not being a fit
Ana’s return to OG’s active lineup was the talk of the town in April 2021. Fans were exhilarated as they hoped that the two-time T1 champions would now embark on a journey to lift the Aegis of the Champions for the third time. The team’s offlaner, Ceb, talked in detail about how things have changed after bringing back ana.
“I do think that ana just fits our team better, than the other players we have played with. Both - on a Dota level and on a human level - if that makes sense. I can speak for myself but I know it is very much the same for most of us. Just having ana around, there are a lot of things about how we play or how we function in a team that are enabled again. These things were completely disabled before.
We are not the kind to force somebody to adapt to us, ask someone to change so we’ll try to change for the people we play with and I guess it could work but it ended up not working, ended up making us… well, overall making the team just worse. And I guess, down the road, it also ended up making us maybe a little unhappy and maybe less motivated. So yeah, all of these things put together and then ana comes back and now we can be our true selves again. Mostly in-game and outside of the game. Everything just clicks.”
“As for MidOne and Pajkatt, it’s not a fit, for sure. No matter the conditions, it would have never worked looking back at it.”
Ceb also mentioned that iLTW and SumaiL would have worked in the carry role for OG but certain issues and circumstances did not allow it to happen.
