T1 is struggling in the SEA 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division as they have incurred a second defeat in their third series. Going up against BOOM Esports, T1 was expected to come out on the winning side, but they looked rusty in their performances as they lost the series 2-1. BOOM Esports was the superior team in the matchup as Dreamocel, and his teammates have now picked up their third series in the regional league. On the other hand, T1 has slipped down to the seventh spot with just one win in three series. The South Korean organization has been looking sloppy in their gameplay execution since the Singapore Major, where they had also been knocked out in the wild card.

Game 2 was an absolute cracker of a contest as both teams were in contention of winning throughout the entirety of the game. In the final crucial teamfights, T1 was able to punch down BOOM with clutch buybacks, helping them secure megacreeps. 23savage delivered a splendid performance on Morphling to lead T1 to victory in 56 minutes.

Game 3 witnessed another thrilling battle between the two teams. Teamfights were chaotic as both teams went in and out, trying to find the right kills. Dreamocel’s Medusa had become unkillable and combining it with some ineffective plays and itemization from their enemies, BOOM secured the victory in 57 minutes.

T1, who had a decent showing in the first season, has not lived up to their expectations in official matches since they replaced JaCkky for 23savage. The team was underwhelming at the Singapore Major and have now already lost their second series in the second season. They still need to go up against the likes of TNC Predator, Fnatic, and OB.Neon, so Kuku and the rest of T1 need to revisit their plans and strategy quickly. They play their next series against TNC Predator on May 1, 2021.

BOOM Hyde talks about their upcoming series against TNC Predator

BOOM Esports’ support player, Brizio Adi "Hyde" Putra, appeared in the post-match winners’ interview where he talked about the team’s upcoming series against TNC Predator in the SEA 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division.

“I think we are going to treat them like any other opponent since everyone is the same. We respect them a lot in the season.”
