Evil Geniuses (EG) and PSG.LGD are set to face each other in the upper bracket finals of the ONE Esports Singapore Major after defeating Invictus Gaming (IG) and Team Secret respectively. IG who got crushed by EG 2-0 and Team Secret who were outplayed 2-1 by the better team on the day, PSG.LGD, are now knocked down to the lower bracket. EG and PSG.LGD have both secured a top-three finish and will be earning at least $75,000 USD in prize money and 400 DPC points. On the other hand, IG and Team Secret will be awaiting the end of day three of the Singapore Major playoffs to find out their opponents in the lower bracket.

EG vs IG: Match Highlights and Recap
Game 1 saw IG rely on the Alchemist off lane Aghanim’s Scepter machine strategy. However, the strategy seemingly failed as their Void Spirit was not able to capitalize on the granted Aghanim’s Scepter, dying multiple times. On the other hand, Arteezy was free farming on Terrorblade as EG secured an easy victory in 30 minutes.
Game 2 was another stomp as EG seemed to have outdrafted and outplayed their opponents. All of their cores were comparatively stronger as they helped the team win the second game in just 31 minutes.
PSG.LGD vs Team Secret: Match Highlights and Recap
Game 1 saw a clinical performance from PSG.LGD’s cores as they had a combined KDA of 18-1-35 at the end of the 41-minute game. Secret was able to prolong the game but their enemies were too mighty to take down.
Game 2 witnessed Secret drafting an off lane Venomancer to counter Ame’s comfortable safe lane Monkey King pick. MATUMBAMAN played the Alchemist carry and got online much faster as compared to Ame, helping his team register a comprehensive win in just 23 minutes.
Game 3 was an outdraft by PSG.LGD as they had the right counters to their enemies. Secret had an unconventional and out of meta draft with an off lane Windranger and a support Bane which backfired heavily. PSG.LGD played cautiously and then eventually ended the game in 35 minutes.
EG emerged incredibly stronger in the matchup against IG and registered their second consecutive 2-0 series win in the Singapore Major. On the other hand, PSG.LGD’s victory over Secret is an upset since the European squad is widely considered as the favorite to win the Major.

EG and PSG.LGD will be brawling for a grand final spot on April 3, 2021. Two more series still remain to be played on April 2, 2021, between OB.Neon and Vici Gaming, and then Thunder Predator and Virtus.pro. The losers of these couple of series will get eliminated while the winners will be competing against Secret and IG.
