OG vs Team Secret: A Thriller in the EU DPC League
- Team Secret beat OG 2-1 in the last group stage series of EU DPC 2021 S1: Upper Division and remain undefeated with wins in all of their seven series.
- While the first two games were stomps by either teams, the third one was a back and forth one which Secret was ultimately able to win.
- OG's loss means that there will be a three-way tiebreaker for the last remaining Major slot from EU. It will be played on February 28 among OG, Team Liquid and Tundra Esports.
Team Secret ends its EU DPC 2021 Season 1: Upper Division campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 series win over OG and remains undefeated in the league. With a Singapore Major playoffs spot already confirmed earlier, they finish in the first position in the points table with seven wins in seven series. On the other hand, OG will now have to play a three-way tiebreaker with Team Liquid and Tundra Esports on February 28 for the last remaining Major slot from the region. Along with Team Secret, Alliance and Team Nigma are the already qualified teams for the Major from EU.

Team Secret defeat OG to remain unbeaten at the EU DPC League.
The last series of the EU DPC 2021 Season 1: Upper Division between OG and Team Secret was an exhilarating one as it went to the full distance of three series.

Game 1 witnessed OG pick Alchemist for Ceb in the offlane, who granted MidOne’s Monkey King a 13-minute Aghanim’s Scepter. OG took Roshan soon after, but they overestimated their power as MidOne died twice easily to Secret’s overwhelming magic damage. Secret then played the mid-game to sheer perfection as they took control over the map and kited OG’s big teamfight abilities every time to win the first game in just 28 minutes.
In game 2, OG’s Alchemist strategy worked as Topson provided the required space in the early game with the last pick Riki. OG made the right calls this game as they refrained themselves from being too aggressive. Team Secret had lost almost all lanes and had no way back this time as they lost the game in 31 minutes.
Game 3 witnessed MATUMBAMAN run rampant on his safe lane Ursa as he slapped down OG’s heroes. Nisha and MATUMBAMAN had a combined KDA of 50-6-54 as the total scoreline was 71-26 in favor of Team Secret. OG teamwiped Secret’s heroes at one stage and took two full sets of Barracks with some unique item choices, but they ultimately failed as Team Secret struck back with some devastating Black Holes from Zai to win the series.

It will be intriguing to see what happens on February 28 in the tiebreakers as we could be seeing the two-time TI champions, OG, failing to make it to the first Major of the 2021 DPC season. In such a scenario, their chances of reaching TI10 would take a big hit.
