The TI10 exclusive Dota 2 map, Sanctums of the Divine, has witnessed a change in its landscape in a recent update. Dota 2 players have noticed that the flowers on the map’s river are now beaming purple. Many believe that this is an indication of an upcoming update for either the Spectre Arcana or the rumoured Spring Event. A Redditor, u/Astiberon, highlighted this in a Reddit thread where Dota 2 fans speculated upon the meaning of these purple flowers. Considering that Valve has a history of hinting at new upcoming events/heroes using some of Dota 2’s features, there is some weight behind these speculations of the Spectre Arcana and the Spring Event.

New TI10 Dota 2 map design hints at Spectre Arcana
Valve recently made a minor yet noticeable change to the Dota 2 map. Flowers along the Radiant side of the river have recently started radiating a purple glow. Many believe that this change is directly indicating a Spectre Arcana release in the near future.
This theory holds some substance since Spectre is also a purple hero. Additionally, before Valve had declared the results of the TI10 Arcana vote finals between Spectre and Faceless Void, they had drawn special attention to the word purple, with the teaser saying that the winner would be “a purple melee carry that can cross distances with ease.”
After Spectre was announced as the winner, Valve again stressed the word “purple” a number of times in their communication as they stated,
“The team will set out to design an Arcana befitting Mercurial, the Spectre, channeling her dark energy into forms heretofore unimagined. How will she haunt her quarry? In what manner can her refraction erode her enemies? When taking aim with her Spectral Dagger, what deadly color will she glow? Yes, purple, obviously, but what SHADE of purple? Sit tight, lavender lovers, plum buffs and violet voters. With time all (or maybe some) of these questions will be answered.”
Could this be a Spring Event Hint?
The Spectre Arcana is not the only release that Dota 2 players have theorized. Many believe that this flower change could also be hinting at the seasonal Spring event.
Recently, a CS:GO based Spring event was also discovered in Dota 2 files. Named as “Spring2021”, it was speculated that this would be a custom game mode that would have guns, ammo, bombs, and other elements of a shooter game, like CS:GO. As the Winter Season has to end on March 1, 2021, it is expected that this Spring event will be released in the month of March. Since the season of spring and flowers also are also correlated, there is a high chance that this change in the TI10 terrain hints towards a Spring event.

Though Valve has not made any communication regarding the Spectre Arcana release date, they did inform that a new hero will be releasing in the first quarter of 2021. So, we might be in for a treat with potentially either a Spectre Arcana, a custom mode of Spring event or an all-new hero.
