Motivate.Trust Gaming adds four new players to finalize Dota 2 roster
Motivate.Trust Gaming revealed the four new players in their Dota 2 roster through their Facebook handle yesterday. The Thai organization has only retained its support player, Worawit "Q" Mekchai, from the previous lineup.
Motivate.Trust Gaming’s new roster :
- Karn “KNP” Chanmanee
- Souban “Beebie” Sisouphanthong
- Nopparit "Seri" Prugsaritanon
- Worawit "Q" Mekchai
- Supanut "LionaX" Chow
The Thai organization had been spectacular in the latter half of 2020 as they were able to beat the top teams in the SEA region to becomes the champions of BTS Pro Series S4: SEA and DOTA Summit 13: SEA.
However, Motivate.Trust Gaming found itself in deep waters after its carry player, Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong and offlaner, Natthaphon "Masaros" Ouanphakdee, left the roster in November 2020 to join more prominent organizations like T1 and Fnatic ahead of the long-awaited 2021 DPC season.
With time, midlaner, Poomipat "Fearless" Trisiripanit and captain/position 5, Anurat "boombell" Praianun also left the squad to form a stack Forev, HOYO.
As a result, the organization failed to compile a strong 5-man roster, which saw them not make the cut in the list of direct invites to the SEA-DPC S1. They participated in the tournaments with multiple stand-ins. Still, they could not deliver the desired performances as they found themselves out of Season 1 in the SEA Regional Leagues after getting knocked out in the open qualifiers. The team’s last place finish at the recently concluded Moon Studio Kagura Championships also left much to be desired.
