Fnatic defeats T1 in the opening series of Upper Division- SEA-DPC 2021 S1

The first day of the Upper Division in the SEA Regional League has to witness two games. The first one between Fnatic and T1 concluded minutes earlier, while the next one between BOOM Esports and Neon Esports is currently underway.

Fnatic got the better of T1 in the first series.

Game 1 was a close contest as both teams showed some spectacular teamfight action throughout the entirety of the map. Raven played a carry Io- a trend that has been very prevalent in the current patch. With a large amount of sustain and damage coming in from their Io-Monkey King core combo, they were able to grow stronger and secured the first consequential teamfight win at 45 minutes. With T1’s carry, Wraith King’s dieback, and mega creeps conceded, T1 was forced to GG out at 46 minutes.

Game 2 saw Fnatic play some calm, cool, and collected Dota 2 to secure the series. They got off to a decent start and played the map beautifully, continuously finding important kills and taking objectives. JaCkky’s Naga Siren was the only one getting farm for T1, but unfortunately, Fnatic had the right heroes and the items to deal with her. They ended the game in just 42 minutes.

Fnatic has gotten off to a compelling start at the SEA-DPC 2021 Regional League. They are looking solid and are all on the same page as a team. The team will look to deliver a similar type of performance in their next match against Execration on January 27.

T1 showcased some decent Dota 2 action, but Fnatic played some spectacular Dota 2 today. Their drafting will be one place where they would want to work as their loss in the series was more based on hero matchups than their gameplay. The Korean organization will look to come back stronger in their next match, which happens on January 30 against 496 Gaming.
