After having a successful year in 2020, BOOM Esports is all set to show its prowess at the DPC season that is set to begin in a couple of weeks. Ahead of this, the Indonesian squad has announced that its fifth and final player is Andrew "Drew" Halim, occupying the team’s carry role.
Drew Joins To Round Out BOOM Esports’ Dota 2 Roster
BOOM announced the addition of Drew to the squad through their social media handles.
Drew has a very short career in the top tier currently, having been around the scene for just two years. His last stint came with Reality Rift, where he showcased his caliber by helping the team qualify for a Major championship: Dreamleague S13 - The Leipzig Major. Unfortunately, the organization had to disband in August 2020 because of uncertainties in the DPC system and financial struggles the pandemic levied on them.
Since then, the Indonesian has played as a stand-in for teams like Neon Esports and 496 Gaming in a few tournaments. He will now join BOOM Esports who have received a direct invite to the Upper Division of the SEA Regional League.
So BOOM Esports full roster for the 1st Major of the 2021 DPC season will be:
BOOM Esports Roster for the 2021 DPC season:
- Andrew "Drew" Halim
- Rafli Fathur "Mikoto" Rahman
- Saieful "Fbz" Ilham

At the beginning of December, the Indonesian squad had parted ways with their carry, Randy Muhammad "Dreamocel" Sapoetra, after playing with him for nearly four years.
BOOM Esports had also been able to finish fourth at one of the last LAN events, StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3.
Adding some fresh blood on top of the experience and team chemistry that the other four BOOM Esports players possess, they will look to outdo their rivals at the Upper Divison to qualify to the first Major of the season.
