It looks like coach Kim "Febby" Yong-min’s performance for TNC Predator at BTS Pro Series S4 has impressed the whole unit as the Korean has been registered as a player on Valve’s Major Registration page. Febby stood in and captained the squad in the tournament, helping them emerge as the champions.
Febby Has Been Added As a TNC Player On Valve’s Major Registration Page
Ahead of the new DPC season of 2021, Febby seems to have made a permanent transition from the coach to the player role in TNC. TNC Predator has registered the player on Valve’s DPC page.
TNC Predator is yet to officially announce its roster for the upcoming DPC season.
Not only has TNC been a gigantic force in the SEA region for a long time now, the team’s antics and results at the world stage have also been quite amazing in the last couple of years. The team’s biggest breakthrough at the international stage came at MDL Chengdu Major where they outclassed one of the finest teams in the world to emerge as the champions.
The online season of Dota, however, has been topsy-turvy for the Filipinos. ESL One Thailand: Asia was their major accomplishment but a disappointing 5-6th place finish in the next tournament at BTS Pro Series S3 witnessed the organization take a shocking decision. Captain March was removed from the squad in September 2020 which attracted a lot of questions.
Since then, TNC has been unable to find the right candidate for their captain and positive five position. Whitemon stood in for the squad at DOTA Summit 13 where they finished fourth and then at BTS Pro Series S4, coach Febby decided to take the game into his own hands as he captained as well as played the soft support role. TNC’s performances looked solid throughout the tournament and they won the tournament after a gruelling five-match grand final against Team Dog.
