Valve has finally revealed the features of a brand new Dota Plus season to stand up to their promise of releasing it on December 1. The update termed as Dota Plus Update – Winter 2020 has brought in a customary seasonal treasure, a Grandmaster tier at level 30 and alterations to seasonal quests and guild rewards.
A New Grandmaster Tier At Level 30
The update has brought in an exciting new feature for all the hero spammers out there. Previously capped to level 25, players can reach to level 30 on heroes and unlock an all-new Grandmaster tier. In addition to all the benefits that the hero has been able to reach, a new chat wheel voice line will be made accessible once the hero touches the level 30 mark. Moreover, all hero challenges that get completed after attaining this peak level will now reward shards instead of hero XP.
The Highly Anticipated Seasonal Treasure For Dota Plus Members
An exciting new treasure has also been unveiled by Valve to accompany the feature of Grandmaster tier. The Winter 2020 Seasonal Treasure has come in with exclusive sets for 11 heroes and a Very Rare Hermid the Crab courier. The set available for Dragon Knight, Puck, Spirit Breaker, Templar Assassin, Earth Spirit, Vengeful Spirit, Luna, Necrophos, Undying, Ember Spirit, and Centaur Warrunner can be purchased with Shards by Dota Plus members.
Overhauling Of Seasonal Quests and Guild Rewards
For the season, a new set of quests have been introduced for the members of Dota Plus which will help them reap some extra shards to get the Seasonal Treasure. All in all, the latest set of quests can help a player earn up to 115,200 shards over the course of the season.
Guild rewards, which were introduced in the post Battle Pass update because of positive feedback from the community, have been further altered. New Emoticons, sprays and voice lines have been implemented in respective silver, gold and platinum tiers. The following table describes these changes.
A limited but an exciting set of changes by Valve is likely to renew the zeal and grind of Dota Plus members. Further, Valve’s communication of a new patch in mid-December which is likely to bring in a host of changes to gameplay and drafting is also being awaited by the Dota 2 community.
