Moon Studio Mid-Autumn League Southeast Asia Group Results
The results of the Southeast Asian group stage have been rather expected with BTS Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia winners Motivate.Trust Gaming topping the Southeast Asian group.
Galaxy Racer, who finalized their roster just weeks back with the likes of 343, AlaCrity and kYxY stand at the number two spot with 4 wins and 4 draws. It is a significant accomplishment already for a new team that attained the 11-12th spot in the previous iteration of Moon Studio league.
Neon Esports and IO Dota2 are the next two teams to reach the playoffs in the league. While Neon Esports has been performing decently in the last two SEA tournaments, IO Dota2, the Malaysian stack formed by Mushi and Ohaiyo had been looking lacklustre in recent times. They will now look to convert this good form into a tournament victory.
BOOM Esports and Cignal Ultra are the final teams to secure a playoffs spot. A tiebreaker match was played between the two to determine the 5th and 6th spot. BOOM Esports has had a string of successful performances in the last 10 months so a 5th place finish in the group stages will not please them much. They will look to identify the loopholes in their performance and come back stronger in the latter half of the league.
496 Gaming and Execration have been knocked out of the tournament. Both these teams have had a string of dismal performances in recent times. The stack formed by QO and Forev, Phantasm, withdrew from the tournament midway. No official communication was provided regarding this. QO is currently working at ESL One Germany 2020 as an analyst.
