Team Nigma faced another loss at ESL One Germany 2020 as mudgolems beat them 2-0.
Lack of captain KuroKy's leadership for a long time now can be attributed to the team's recent series of losses
Team Nigma has one win out of three series and will have to win both the remaining series in order to qualify to the playoffs.

It looks like the absence of Team Nigma’s mainstay, captain Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi is hurting the team too much now as they have lost yet another series at ESL One Germany 2020. Team Nigma is now on the brink of elimination after getting convincingly beaten by mudgolems 2-0.

Team Nigma’s Lackluster Performances In Recent Times

While Team Nigma was performing fairly well in the initial tournaments after captain KuroKy’s arm injury and coach rmN- standing in, their recent results have certainly fallen off the cliff. At the recently concluded OGA Dota PIT Season 3: Europe/CIS,. Nigma got absolutely dismantled in the tourney as they lost 2-0 to Natus Vincere and VP.Prodigy and got knocked out finishing in last place

In the ongoing swiss -format ESL One Germany 2020, Team Nigma was expected to cruise through the initial rounds against some low-seeded teams but they lost their initial series to the newly formed Yellow Submarine squad which surprised everybody. They bounced back strongly in the second round where they registered a comprehensive 2-0 victory over Tempo Esports.

Team Nigma looked to gain some momentum after the win against Tempo Esports as tougher and taxing matchups awaited them if they managed to qualify to the playoffs. But one more time yesterday, Team Nigma has shocked their fans as they lost 2-0 to mudgolems. Though mudgolems have some veterans in their team in the form of Fata and 33, Team Nigma was expected to come out on top as they were perceived as the better team thanks to their overall experience and gameplay.

mudgolems completely thrashed Team Nigma in the first game as an immaculate mid Storm Spirit performance by Duško “BoraNija” Boranijaševic’s wreaked havoc on Team Nigma’s heroes. He ended with a KDA of 26-2-14 while his teammates supplemented him perfectly by playing around him.

Despite a better start for Team Nigma in the second game with Miracle- farming decently on Morphling, they were unable to capitalize on the early advantage. Mudgolems looked the far better team on the day as they played the teamfights perfectly and kept exerting pressure on Team Nigma. They eventually tapped out of the game in 31 minutes as one can say that mudgolems pulled off an upset.

Team Nigma has been bested by the likes of Natus Vincere, VP.Prodigy, Yellow Submarine and mudgolems. These are teams that Team Nigma would easily beat before but currently, it is very evident that they are missing the leadership of centrepiece, KuroKy.

For now, Team Nigma will have to win both their remaining series in order to qualify for the playoffs. They have performed best with their backs against the ropes but without captain KuroKy’s presence, it will be a tall task for the TI7 champions.
