Former NiP player and captain, Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev has just announced his return to the professional Dota 2 scene with his new stack featuring the likes of Igor "iLTW" Filatov, and Alexander "Immersion" Hmelevskoy. This was announced through SoNNeikO’s official VKontakte profile. This also likely confirms that CIS powerhouse Virtus.Pro is undergoing roster shuffles.

SoNNeikO Announces New Roster

The name of this stack is yet to be revealed. However, it features a number of players who have previously played in many of the Tier 1 CIS teams in the past.

Carry: iLTW

Virtus.Pro’s disappointing results in previous tournaments has lead the organization to make significant changes to the team. Carry player iLTW looks like he has departed from the organization as a result.

Mid: Ergon

Ergon comes from Team Spirit which has seemingly disbanded after the conclusion of the OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: Europe/CIS, following sub-par performances across several tournaments.

Offlane: Afterlife

Afterlife is another Team Spirit Alumni who has been struggling to find a place for himself in the competitive CIS scene. His most recent stint was with Team Extremum which has consistently underperformed

Pos 4: Immersion

Immersion was Na’Vi’s captain initially before he was removed alongside the rest of his time after the organization’s acquisition of the FlyToMoon roster.

Pos 5: SoNNeikO has been teamless ever since his removal from the NiP squad. He is considered to be one of the finest captains in the region, which has lead to many fans eagerly awaiting his return to the pro-Dota 2 scene.

The first tournament in which we can see this roster in action is likely the Omega League Season 2.
