IceFrog, the man, the myth, the legend, Dota 2’s lead developer, has a tradition of posting a Tweet congratulating the winners of The International every year. However, this year TI10 didn’t take place as scheduled. So he commented on the postponement of The International 2020.

Icefrog’s Tweet on TI10
He said that he was sad that the Dota 2 community will not be able to see a new champion this August, and expressed concern about the people during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
After TI7, Icefrog started posting congratulatory messages to TI champions, every year.
In 2019, he was subtly humorous about OG winning TI again by Retweeting 2018’s Tweet congratulation N0tail and co.
He also congratulated Team Liquid in 2017 for their win at The International 2017.
TI10 was to be held from 18th to 23rd August 2020 at Stockholm, Sweden. However, in April 2020, Valve announced the postponement of the tournament. The company made this decision because of the global pandemics. The new date is unknown, however we do know that Valve is planning to host TI10 in 2021.

After the postponement of TI10 and the cancellation of the DPC 2019-20, Valve has not released any statement about the state of the Dota 2 esports scene. This has left many in the dark about the future of the Dota 2 esports scene.
