Team Nigma will not be at full strength at the OMEGA League: EU Immortal Division. Captain Kuro Salehi “KuroKy” Takhasomi will not be playing at this tournament due to an arm injury. The organization revealed this on their social media accounts yesterday.

Nigma KuroKy’s Injury Before The OMEGA League

Team Nigma announced that KuroKy will not be playing in the OMEGA League following the recent arm injury he sustained in July 2020. He will likely be temporarily replaced by Team Liquid’s coach Roman “rmN-” Paley as a result.

KuroKy has been undergoing physical therapy since before the OGA Dota PIT Season Two: Europe and CIS. It looks like he still hasn’t recovered from the arm injury. However, fans of Nigma need not be worried, considering the team’s recent performance at the previous tournament with rmN- standing in.

Nigma won the OGA Dota PIT Season Two: Europe and CIS, convincingly, without dropping a single series in the tournament proving that rmN- was more than capable of KuroKy’s shoes in this team.

Earlier this week, it was also announced that gpk would be standing-in for Abed in the OMEGA League for Evil Geniuses.

So it looks like at least two of the 12 teams competing in the tournament will be playing with stand-ins. While Ninjas In Pyjamas will be playing with a fresh face, considering the fact that NiP removed SoNNeikO from the lineup in early July 2020.

OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division will take place from 14th August to 6th September 2020 and will feature a $500,000 prize pool. The twelve teams competing in this tournament will be:

  • Team Secret
  • Natus Vincere
  • Team Liquid
  • Virtus Pro
  • FlyToMoon
  • Evi Geniuses
  • OG
  • Alliance
  • Team Nigma
  • Ninjas In Pyjamas
  • 5Men
  • Vikin.gg

Considering the fact that Team Secret hasn’t played a series since June 2020 and the new patch, there are no clear favorites for this tournament. It will be interesting to see which team comes out on top.
