SoNNeikO Leaves Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) After a Fairly Successful 2 Months

SoNNeikO and the rest of the team joined Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) on 23rd April 2020 after having a fairly successful tenure under the Chicken Fighters moniker where they managed to secure multiple Top 4 finishes in several online tournaments.

With NiP, SoNNeikO performed reasonably well in a fairly stacked Europe/CIS region with multiple 5th-6th place finishes at the WePlay! Pushka League S1: Division 1, OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: Europe/CIS, and BLAST Bounty Hunt.

Under SoNNeikO’s leadership, the team also managed to take games off Virtus Pro and OG in online tournaments. In total, the team won $33,900 USD under his leadership.

Possible Destinations for SoNNeikO

Many fans have speculated that SoNNeikO was leaving Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) to join the VP Prodigy roster. Many rumours have indicated that the team is looking to leave the Virtus.Pro organization since tournament organizers are not letting two rosters from the same organization compete in the same tournament.

The captain of the former OG.Seed lineup Petu "Peksu" Vaatainen also made a recent tweet where he stated that some members from his former team had already received offers from other teams and that the team parted ways because of this reason. Perhaps SoNNeikO also received offers from the same team and is leaving NiP as a result.

Popular English commentator Kyle stated that NiP were making a mistake by letting SoNNeikO leave.

Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) has not commented on this situation at the time of writing.
