The organizer of the OMEGA League, WePlay! has announced that they will be investigating the match between Execration and Cignal Ultra in the OMEGA League: Asia Divine Division after suspicions of match fixing.

A statement released by WePlay! said that the organizers found a number of suspicious moments that "may indicate the dishonest nature of the match."

“On August 9, Execration won the match against Cignal Ultra in the group stage of OMEGA League: Asia Divine Division. During the match, we noticed several suspicious moments that may indicate the dishonest nature of the match. Our viewers also paid attention to this during the broadcast.

We strongly believe in fair play and take any match-fixing charges very seriously. For this reason, the OMEGA League administration is currently investigating this match and will announce the decision as soon as possible.”

The match between Execration and Cignal Ultra took place on August 9. Execration won the first game, while Cignal Ultra took the second game. Execration won the third game to win the series 2-1. 

Cignal Ultra has lost all three series' in the group stages of the OMEGA League: Asia Divine Division.

Execration's Response To This Investigation

AFK Gaming reached out to Execration for a comment on this situation. Execration responded by denying that they are involved in match-fixing, with their coach Kimuel "Kim0" Rodis stating:

"I don't even know the reason for why we got this kind of suspicion. Our team has nothing to do with it.

Since it has been a suspicion we cant tell you anything about it. "

The OMEGA League: Asia Divine Division features a USD 40,000 prize pool and is scheduled to take place online, from 1st to 22nd August 2020. 12 teams from Southeast Asia and China are competing in this tournament.

AFK Gaming also reached out to Cignal Ultra for their response before publishing this article but has not received one at the time of writing.
