Team Adroit has released their offlaner Jun "Bok" Kanehara from the team roster. The team has picked up ex IPT Gaming offlaner Prince Vince "Bensoy" Enriquez to replace Bok in Adroit’s lineup. Previously, Bensoy played as a stand-in in the BTS Pro Series Season 2: Southeast Asia tournament.
Bok’s Achievements in Team Adroit
Bok is one of Team Adroit’s longest-serving players, who has been with the team since its inception in May 2019.
With him in the lineup as their offlaner, Adroit has only gone from strength to strength winning multiple online tournaments such as
- RedRain Cup Season 1
- RedRain Cup Season 3
- Battle of Dawn
- Yabo Supreme Cup
- WeSave! Charity Play - SEA
His success wasn’t just limited to Online Tournaments. Adroit and Bok also won the ESL Clash of Nations Bangkok 2019 beating out teams like BOOM Esports and Reality Rift.
They also qualified for multiple DPC Majors including the MDL Chengdu Major and ESL One Los Angeles 2020 (Before it was cancelled) this season. His finest moment with the team came at the 30th Southeast Asian Games where Adroit managed to beat out seven other SEA teams to claim Gold for the Philippines in this tournament.
Overall with Bok in their lineup, Adroit won $151,373 in prize winnings. This is certainly one of the biggest departures in the Filipino scene, in recent times.
Bok has not made a statement after his departure from the team. There are also no other indications about his future.
His replacement Prince Vince "Bensoy" Enriquez is a relatively unproven player. It will be interesting to see how Team Adroit fare with Bensoy instead of Bok in their lineup. The team will now be competing in the Huya World Esports Elite Competition.
Team Adroit's new lineup from 18th July 2020 will be:
- John Anthony "Natsumi-" Vargas
- Mc Nicholson "Mac" Villanueva
- Prince Vince "Bensoy" Enriquez
- Marvin "Boombacs" Rushton
- Bryle "cml" Alviso
