T1 has just hired former CS:GO professional Braxton "Brax" Pierce as a content creator and professional for CS:GO, Valorant and other FPS titles. This is a massive acquisition for T1 since Brax is one of the most popular CS:GO streamers and is perhaps one of the first Western players that T1 has hired as a content creator.

However, this didn’t sit well with Fnatic’s coach Lee "SunBhie" Jeong-jae. The Korean coach called out the T1 organisation on Twitter stating that this was against everything that Korean esports fought for in the past.

He also asked if this was what T1 wanted to be known for.

Brax is a former CS:GO player who competed with the iBUYPOWER team. The team was one of the best teams in NA back in 2015 and were widely expected to be picked up by Evil Geniuses. However, a match-fixing scandal broke out, after which Valve banned Brax and his 6 teammates were banned from all Valve sponsored tournaments which included CS:GO Majors and Minors.

Sunbhie, a South Korean native is understandably upset about the fact that the region’s most popular and historic team has signed a match-fixer.
