PSG. LGD Eliminated by Female Pro Player AXX and Blaze - LA Major Open Qualifiers

This is perhaps the biggest upset in Chinese Open Qualifier history. Blaze, a stack put together in the last minute, have just eliminated LGD Gaming in the Chinese Open Qualifiers of the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Major.

Absolutely no one could have predicted this turn of events when the Open Qualifiers kicked off yesterday.

PSG.LGD vs Blaze

Game 1: The first game saw Blaze’s carry K and offlaner AXX put in a phenomenal shift as the Lifestealer and the Mars carrying their team to victory with their 8/1/12 and 8/3/9 scoreline.

Game 2: The second game was far closer with Blaze and PSG.LGD going toe-to-toe against each other until the mid-game. But a massive mistake from LGD’s new pickup ‘ASD’, which saw him die, buyback and die again cost the Chinese juggernauts the game.

This is a monumental achievement for AXX and Blaze as she becomes only the 2nd woman in the history of Dota 2 to make it to a Regional Qualifier. The first being Marielle 'Layla' Louise who made it to the North American Qualifiers of the Kiev Major.

Unfortunately, this is yet another disappointing exit for LGD Gaming. The team has failed to make it through the Open Qualifiers for the 2nd time in a row.

Perhaps there simply wasn’t enough time for the roster to gel, considering the fact that they picked up their new carry ASD, after removing Ahjit, hours before the qualifier kicked off.
