That was unexpected. Lai "Ahjit" Jay Son who was recently picked up by PSG.LGD after they decided to swap their former carry player Wang "Ame" Chunyu to CDEC, has just become an inactive active player.

Former EHOME player, Li "ASD" Zhiwen will be standing in for Ahjit in the upcoming ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Major.

Ahjit may not necessarily be kicked

However, this does not mean that the player has been kicked from the LGD Gaming roster.

We all know China is currently ravaged due to the Coronavirus epidemic. Flights have been cancelled and entire cities have been put in quarantine. So Ahjit may simply not be able to arrive at the LGD Gaming bootcamp.

There is also another possibility that Ahjit was simply not ready for competing in a lineup like PSG.LGD’s. He joined the team 4 days before the open qualifiers. Perhaps the team decided that he requires more training before he could compete in a lineup like LGD’s. The Tweet’s wording also seems to indicate that this is a likely possibility.

But maybe the player simply wasn't the player PSG.LGD was looking for. We will know for sure in the coming days.

PSG.LGD will kick off their journey in the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Major China Open Qualifiers later today. The team is yet to compete in a single DPC event this season. They were knocked out in the Open Qualifiers of the DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major.
