CS:GO Star Player S1mple Talks About Switching to Valorant

  • S1mple after streaming quite a bit of Valorant in the past few days is back to grinding CS:GO once again.

Natus Vincere’s star player Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev has finally spoken about whether he is switching over to Valorant or not. In his 29 March Twitch stream, s1mple finally answered the question which has been driving the CS:GO community crazy for the past few days. Ever since the Ukrainian started streaming Valorant where he even managed to obtain the ‘Immortal’ rank, a rumour has been circulating that s1mple might be on the verge of shifting to Valorant. The 23-year-old finally acknowledged this gossip by answering the following question put forth by a viewer, “Would you really quit CS to play Valorant?”

S1mple talks about switching to Valorant

One of the best CS:GO players in the world s1mple, has started the 2021 competitive CS:GO season strong by helping Na’Vi secure consecutive wins at BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020 and BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2021. He has been doing really well individually, finishing the group stage of the currently ongoing ESL Pro League Season 13 as the second-best performing player, as per HLTV rating.

Despite doing so well in CS:GO, rumours have started doing the rounds recently that s1mple might be considering a switch to Valorant, mostly because of his multiple Valorant streams. As the tension around the topic was increasing, the Na’Vi AWPer decided to step forward and dismiss these speculations himself by stating the following,

“Listen! If I were Astralis (Danish CS:GO team) that has won 4 Majors, I would probably think about it you know. But now I have 0 Majors, so I will keep grinding.”

It is clear from this response that s1mple has no motivation to quit CS:GO and switch to Valorant. Instead, he is determined to win a CS:GO Major along with Na’Vi, maybe this would come true with the upcoming PGL Major Stockholm 2021 which is scheduled to take place from Oct 2021 onwards.

S1mple is back to streaming CS:GO for now and has started grinding the FPL (FACEIT Pro League) once again, as Na’Vi is all set to go up against Complexity in their opening match of the ESL Pro League Season 13 - Playoffs scheduled to take place on 3 April 2021.
