Popular Twitch streamer Shroud explains why top-tier CS:GO players should switch over to Valorant.
He claimed that these CS:GO pros can "make more money than they ever made in their whole career in CS".
Shroud confidently said that "In the next year or two, making a million or two a year, that’s just a fact".

Popular Canadian Twitch streamer Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek who is also a former professional CS:GO player, in a March 25 stream spoke about how switching to Valorant can be of huge monetary benefit to top-tier CS:GO pros like Oleksandr “S1mple“ Kostyliev. There has been a significant player migration that has already taken place from CS:GO to Valorant, especially in North America where Valorant is booming the most. But slowly more players from across the globe have started considering this option like Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen, Issa "ISSAA" Murad, and more. Though Shroud may not be an industry expert when it comes to answering this question, his recent explanation is a thought-provoking response that may trigger the CS:GO community.

Shroud Says CS:GO Pros Can Earn a Lot More in Valorant

Shroud about a week back had explained via a YouTube video how the emergence of Valorant had sparked within him a fear about CS:GO’s future. Valorant which is not even a year old at this point in time has already begun establishing itself as a serious esports title, that combined with Shroud’s concern about lack of new and exciting CS:GO content is what forced him to ask the question “What is CS gonna do?”

Now, in another recent stream Shroud while speaking with his viewers explained why exactly should top-tier CS:GO pros like s1mple switch over to Valorant.

“If he does (s1mple switches to Valorant), he is going to make a lot ton of money. Here is the wild part, Valorant is literally on the climb for these pro players to make more money than they ever made in their whole career in CS, isn’t that crazy?

Like, yeah, they’ve made $1 million, $2 million, hundreds of thousands of dollars or whatever, but Valorant, the reason why people are eyeing it is because it, quite literally, is gonna make these people that made $1 million, $2 million, in the 5 years they played, it could make them that in a year. Like, you could see Valorant pro players, in the next year or two, making a million or two a year, that’s just a fact. You could see that, it could happen.”

This claim by Shroud is strong and though he does not provide a solid proof or source for this information, it is general knowledge at this point that there is a lot of money to be made in Valorant right now. Organizations and teams are ready to splurge it out for a player or content creator if they have the required talent and audience.

Current Team Liquid CS:GO coach Jason “moses” O'Toole in Sep 2020 had revealed salary that some former CS:GO star players were receiving to switch over to Valorant and compete professionally. Things only seem to have gotten better for Valorant as the gaming title has received a great reception, on both the casual and competitive front.
