The playoffs stage of the Middle East regional tournament played out as expected with two of the best CS:GO teams from the region battling it out in the grand finals. While it was a straight forward path for Sangal Esports, NASR did face a bit of a hump in the semifinals against BlindTappers.

A good show was put up by some of the teams who made their way through the open qualifiers, Lets Go and BlindTappers won their respective opening matches against ForGlory and YaLLa Esports quite comfortably.

It was quite a shocker to see a seasoned team such as NASR struggle so much through the playoff stage. BlindTappers gave them one hell of a semifinals match, with the decider going into overtime before NASR was able to clinch a ‘19-17’ victory.

On the other hand, the Turkish lineup of Sangal Esports’ cruised through to the grand finals, demolishing both Imaginative and Lets Go with utmost ease. They did not drop a single map on their way to the finals.

The grand final was a well-fought affair between the two sides, they won a map each on Mirage and Dust 2 with the decider taking place on Nuke. Sangal was able to edge their way towards victory with a ‘16-13’ scoreline and with it were able to win the series.
