ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS:GO Festival 2020: East Asia

The playoffs stage of the South Asian regional tournament played out as expected with two of the best CS:GO teams from India battling it out in the grand finals. But it was not an easy path for both these teams, facing quite a stiff competition on their way to the finals.

None of the teams who made their way into the playoffs stage through the open qualifier won their respective matches. This observed a clash between the direct invites in the semifinal stage of the tournament.

But if a rookie team needs to be given credit it has to be none other than Fit For Esports who put up one hell of a fight against 2ez Gaming. The entire best-of-three series was a nail biter as both the teams went toe-to-toe. The decider on Inferno ended with a scoreline of ‘16-11’ in favour of 2ez who proceeded on to the semifinals stage.

While 2ez had an easy match this time around, BL4ZE got a scare as Wicked gave them an unexpectedly tough time. Even the decider map went into double overtime before BL4ZE was finally able to take down Wicked and go into the grand final.

The grand final started off with 2ez winning the first map on Overpass followed by BL4ZE winning both Dust 2 and Inferno, to claim the series and win the overall tournament. With this victory, BL4ZE has continued its winning streak to a six tournament victory, successfully establishing themselves as the best CS:GO team in the country.

Four regional champions have been crowed so far for ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND CS:GO Festival 2020, with only the Middle East region left to be played out in February later this year.
