Two-time CS:GO Major champion Lincoln "fnx" Lau is being considered as a participant in the upcoming season of MTV Brazil’s reality show “De Férias com Ex Brasil Celebs" which is based on the British reality television series “Ex on the Beach”, according to a report by Globo Esporte. The 30-year-old has not stated anything officially yet but his current CS:GO team Imperial Esports did tease the speculated news publicly last week.
Fnx Might Participate In A Brazilian Reality Show
The Brazilian Counter-Strike legend fnx has been competing professionally since 2004 winning multiple big tournaments in the last seventeen years. The 30-year-old might be at the tail end of his career now, but this has not stopped him from competing with local Brazilian CS:GO teams, as he continues to play professionally with Imperial Esports.
However, his position in the team is uncertain at this point as reports have come in linking fnx to a reality television show which is a Brazilian remake of an English show “Ex on the Beach”. Fnx might be participating in the next season of the show which will be exclusive to Brazilian celebrities, as per leaks by a Brazilian Instagram page ‘mtvzou’.
In a statement to Globo Esporte, Team Imperial’s Owner - Felippe “Felippe1” Martins said that “The team is in a period of reformulation,” but did not comment or confirm any negotiations that might currently be in progress. The organization themselves publicly teased this particular move last week, which has now turned into a recurring joke within the Brazilian gaming community.
Imperial Esports does not have a fixed complete CS:GO roster yet with one player on loan and the other on trial. With WESG LATAM Qualifier all set to take place at the end of January and uncertainty surrounding fnx’ situation the organization seems to be in a bit of a problem.
Fnx himself is embroiled in a bit of controversy as he was recently accused by a Brazilian Twitch streamer of leaking personal intimate video of them together without her consent. No public response from fnx’ side was made regarding this situation and this did not go down well with the CS:GO community.
