  • Fnatic is eyeing a roster shuffle after sticking with the same CS:GO lineup through the 2020 season.
  • Rising Swedish star Jackinho might be the new player joining Fnatic's active roster.
  • Either JW or flusha might be the one getting removed from the roster.

The Swedish lineup of Fnatic are reportedly looking to make a roster shuffle following a turbulent run through the 2020 season. The organization has their eye set on another Swedish player, the 21-year-old Jack "Jackinho" Strom Mattson who has been making a name for himself in the local circuit.

According to DBLTAP, Fnatic is already in discussions with Jackinho about him directly joining the active roster from next year onwards. This means that one of the existing members on the Swedish team might be getting the kick sooner or later, with Dexerto stating that Jesper ‘JW’ Wecksell and Robin ‘flusha’ Ronnquist could most likely be on the chopping block.

Fnatic Eye New Swedish Player To Join Their Roster

Fnatic have not made a roster shuffle since January 2020 when Maikil “Golden“ Selim joined the team on a permanent basis. After playing through the current season with the same roster the organization has finally decided to make a change.

It was not the best year for Fnatic after having started off with a brilliant victory at ESL Pro League Season 11: Europe in April. This has prompted the organization to initiate discussions with the Swedish rising star Jackinho with a desire to add him to their active roster for the upcoming 2021 season.

Jackinho has not played for any top-tier organization so far and Fnatic will be his big break into the scene. Fnatic will be signing him without having to pay a buyout fee to any organization as the player is currently a free agent.

JW - Flusha Might Get Replaced

Though there is still no confirmation on who might be making way for the new player on the Fnatic lineup, it is being reported that JW or flusha might be the ones that are most likely to get kicked/benched from the organization.

Both the players have not been performing up to what is expected from them, on top of that Jackinho is an AWPer who is equally good with the rifle as well. This means that he is more of a threat to JW who currently plays that exact role within the Fnatic lineup. However, the organization could also be thinking of playing JW as a secondary AWPer as he is pretty handy with the rifle when required and removing flusha instead.

The rest of the players are more or less safe for now, but none of this information is set in stone and it is nothing more than just a speculation at this point of time. Let’s see who Fnatic replaces with the incoming player and if there is a chance that they might try out a six-man roster, something which is slowly being adopted and experimented with by other CS:GO organizations.
