A day after the departure of 16-year-old Lithuanian CS:GO player Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras who was on trial with FaZe Clan, the American esports organization has gone ahead and officially signed the Danish player Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjaerbye as the fifth permanent player on their active roster.
Kjaerbye Officially Joins FaZe Clan
Ever since the indefinite departure of Olof “olofmeister” Gustafsson back in May due to fatigue and lack of motivation, FaZe Clan had been playing with Bymas as a temporary player on their lineup.
Though the organization was not doing too bad for themselves considering that they were playing with a stand-in, an absolutely terrible 11th place finish at cs_summit 6 Online: Europe which was the second RMR tournament may have played a big role in FaZe deciding to sign a permanent fifth.
The speculations were certainly met with a lot of surprised looks as Kjaerbye has been out of action for more than a good two months, but with North dropping him from their active roster FaZe could not resist getting a tier-one rifler on their side.
In his 2 year stay with North, the 22-year-old Dane contributed a lot to the organization helping them attain victory at DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018, GG.Bet Ice Challenge 2019, DreamHack Open Sevilla 2019, and many other tournaments. This year had been particularly tough on North who failed to achieve success even in the tier-two circuit and with Kjaerbye having multiple health problems the Danish organization was forced to replace him from their active roster.

Maybe he might be able to deliver this time around with FaZe Clan, who currently stands 11th on the European RMR leader boards. Just one position above the cutoff, FaZe really need to pull their socks up and give a solid performance in the coming third and final RMR tournament. Otherwise, they might miss out on playing at the next CS:GO Major which will be more than just disappointing for the organization who have nothing short of a star-studded lineup.

Bymas despite being a really talented youngster was not able to deliver for FaZe when it came to performing in matches. His stats for the last six months were below his average, and it was pretty evident that the youngster was struggling throughout his journey with them. Kjaerbye who is also a one-time Major winner brings with him the maturity and the experience that FaZe needs from their rifler and he might just turn out to be the perfect man to get them out of their slump.
