  • S1mple breaks his personal record by achieving a ridiculous rating of 2.77 against MAD Lions earlier today.

  • This is the best game that the Ukrainian has ever had since turning pro in 2013.

  • Na'Vi went on to win the match and will be playing against FaZe Clan tomorrow.

The Ukrainian star who is widely regarded to be the best CS:GO player in the world Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, has gone ahead to set a new personal record as he achieved a ridiculous rating of 2.77 in the first game against MAD Lions today at the DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Europe.

The 22-year-old played out of his mind, achieving the feat on the back of an incredible performance which consisted of 37 kills, 8 deaths, an ADR (average damage per round) of 158.5, and an unbelievable rating of 2.77 on Mirage.

Na’Vi went on to win the map by a score of ‘16-5’ which they followed up with another swift victory on Overpass, where once again s1mple put up a brilliant show along with his teammates. The overall rating achieved by s1mple at the end of the series was 2.11 which witnessed a marginal drop due to a slight dip in his performance on the second map.

With this victory, Na’Vi has successfully made it through to the lower bracket semifinals where they will be facing off against FaZe Clan.

The first map witnessed a monstrous performance by s1mple, who tore through the Danish lineup with insane brutality. It was seemingly impossible to stop him on the map, as he went on to give the best individual performance of his career which will be the highlight of his career moving forward.

Personally, I don’t think it was MAD Lions who were at fault. Taking a quick look at the way s1mple played on the map it would be safe to say that replacing the Danish lineup with any other team would not have made much of a difference. But now the interesting thing would be to see if s1mple can top this performance in the times ahead because if he manages to do so, it will be something truly magical.
