  • Na'Vi CS 1.6 lineup will be a playing a showmatch on 11th May according to Zeus.

  • Zeus shows both a WhatsApp and a Discord group consisting of members from the Na'Vi 2010 lineup on his stream.

  • Earlier hints of the legendary lineup coming together for a showmatch were also given by both ceh9 and starix.

The rumours about the legendary Na’Vi CS 1.6 lineup coming together to play in a showmatch might soon become a reality, as former Natus Vincere in-game leader Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko leaked some information on his stream yesterday, pointing out that the match is scheduled to take place on 11th May.

During his stream, the 32-year-old opened his WhatsApp messenger which showed a group named ‘Navi 2010’. Within the group, a photo of all the five players together in a Discord group was found. Sharing the image with everyone Zeus pretended to whisper the following message to all the viewers,

“According to inside news, I will say that the show match is scheduled to take place on the 11th. So guys, do not plan anything on May 11th, it will be tough, it will be hot. The golden five of Na’Vi from 2010 will be together again and it will be powerful.”

This confirms the fact that the five players are in touch with each other and that the showmatch is very much a reality, whether it will take place on 11th May or not is still not confirmed though, as no formal announcement has been made by any of the players in question.

More information pertaining to the showmatch has not been revealed yet by any of the participating players and might be announced in the next few days leading up to the date of the showmatch.

Edit: Original statement made by Zeus was in Russian and has been translated into English.

The Na’Vi CS 1.6 lineup being referred to in the article consists of the following players,

  • Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko
  • Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev
  • Yegor “markeloff” Markelov
  • Arsenij “ceh9” Trynozhenko
  • Serhii “starix” Ishchhuk

Earlier both ceh9 and starix had hinted towards this lineup once again playing together, where ceh9 had stated that the players were still negotiating certain things related to the showmatch, while actively looking for sponsors.

It is quite possible that this CS 1.6 lineup from 2010 might play against the current Na’Vi lineup, who are presently competing in ESL One: Road to Rio - CIS. As their last match in the group stage of the tournament is against Hard Legion Esports on 10th May, the lineup will be free on the 11th to play the showmatch.

If this turns out to be true, it would make up for an epic showmatch witnessing a clash between markeloff and s1mple, two of the best AWPers from their respective generations. Earlier, s1mple had spoken about how he would like markeloff to return back to the competitive scene. Let’s see if this epic showmatch sees the light of day or not.
