Ever since Na’Vi’s victory at IEM Katowice 2020, one name that has been on the tip of every CS:GO fans tongue has been that of Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev. And it looks like the 22-year-old star might not be satisfied with the competition available as he himself admitted that he would like to see Yegor “markeloff” Markelov back on the professional stage, according to a report by cybersport.
During one of his recent CS:GO streams, s1mple while having a chat with the viewers suggested that Markelov could get back in shape and continue his career as a professional player with some American team.
“I would really like if Yegor Markelov would return to shoot with the ‘Avik’, start practicing and get in shape, or he could also move to the USA and join some team. I believe that this is possible on an AWP, all one needs to do is just train him.”

Markelov started his career back in 2004 playing for Na’Vi from 2010-2013. He is one of the Counter-Strike legends who revolutionized the way an AWP was used, playing with the gun extremely aggressively to get entry frags and is widely regarded as one of the best AWPers to have played the game. He retired back in March 2018 after playing for Flipsid3 Tactics for three years.
