The Blast Pro Series: Copenhagen 2019 came to an end today with FaZe Clan defeating Ninjas in Pyjamas by a score of ‘2-0’ in the grand finals, taking home a cash prize of $125,000 while also qualifying for the BLAST Pro Series: Global Final 2019.

The two-day event had witnessed both FaZe and NiP dominate the points table on day one securing two wins each, as Astralis had a terrible outing. The Danes did recover well today, with two wins and a draw, but this wasn’t enough to see them through to the finals. Na’Vi also played well, managing to make it through to the pro standoff, finishing third on the points table. The last two slots were taken by Liquid and Cloud 9, respectively.

FaZe who had underperformed heavily at ESL One New York earlier last month were able to showcase the true power of their star-studded roster. Making their way into the finals on the back of a ‘4-1’ scoreline in the group stage, the European conglomerate went on to defeat NiP ‘2-0’, pocketing a lions share of the prize pool while winning their second BLAST Pro Series tournament.

The first game on Nuke which was NiP’s pick was a toe-to-toe fight. FaZe despite having a bad CT-side were able to turn things around for themselves after NiP reached map point in the 23rd round.

FaZe fought hard to take the match into overtime and pulling in every last bit of strength turned things around by stealing the map out of NiP’s hand, securing victory on the first map.

The two proceded to play on Dust 2 where FaZe continued their onslaught, finishing the first half with a single round advantage. NiP did try to fight back in the second half but faltered soon to give way to another victory, as Faze went on to lift the trophy, claiming the title of being the champions in Copenhagen.

While it was mostly NiKo and Coldzera doing the heavy lifting for the side, it was great to see broky give hell to Cloud9, top fragging for his side in that one match-up. But rain was the man of the hour, taking the baton to make sure that his side crossed the finish line without any problems.

With this, the MVP award went to none other than NiKo for achieving a phenomenal overall rating of 1.33 across seven maps. The 22-year-old won his sixth MVP overall and the second in 2019, as FaZe won it's second BLAST Pro Series tournament of 2019, following a victory in Miami earlier this year.

The last tournament of the BLAST Pro Series concludes with LIquid, Astralis, FaZe, and NiP qualifying for the BLAST Pro Series: Global Final 2019 which will be taking place from 12th-14th December in Bahrain.
