The first day of BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen 2019 came to a close with quite a shocking result as FaZe Clan shared pole position along with Ninjas in Pyjamas, while Team Liquid, Astralis and Na’Vi were left behind in the hustle.

FaZe Clan were totally different in their approach when compared to their last outing at ESL One: New York 2019 where the team heavily underperformed. They seemed to be in better control of the situation while showcasing their actual firepower.

Coldzera was back to his A-game, as he secured a rating of 1.95 and 1.16 in the two matches, respectively. On the other hand, it was still concerning to see broky have a hard time hitting his shots, the youngster is surely improving but needs to keep pace with others in the team, otherwise, he might become the anchor that holds them back.

Ninjas in Pyjamas also put up a great show as the trio of Lekr0, f0rest, and Ploplski gave consistent performances across the two games to settle down for a second-place finish on the points table.

It was great seeing the Swedish line-up play with such confidence, it might have been an off day for Astralis but NiP took full benefit of the fact, not giving them an inch and securing two comfortable wins with similar scorelines.

Na’Vi and Liquid fell victim to a loss each, as they finished third and fourth, respectively. Both the teams still have a good chance of coming back to qualify for the playoffs. Na’Vi was surely not prepared for the FaZe onslaught but Liquid could have surely performed a notch better in their match against Na’Vi.

Kudos to Na'Vi though, to finally have broken the curse, winning a series against Liquid after two years.

Astralis was sadly the most disappointing team on the first day. It is something so rare to talk about, but the team was not having a great time at all. They dropped back-to-back matches to FaZe and NiP, winning a total of only nine rounds across the two games.

Having lost the first rank position to Evil Geniuses a few days back, the team must be eager to get it back, but their performance points in a different direction altogether. Let’s see how the Danes go on to perform today.

Plays Of The Day

  • Lekr0 with an insane spray transfer.

  • A clean comfortable ace from coldzera.

  • Electronic with a blind double kill.

  • A well planned defuse by Liquid.

  • Electronic with a triple kill to secure map point against Liquid.

While Astralis struggles to win a match, FaZe and NiP have fought their way to the top. Let's see how the points table switches up on the second day.
