As The International 10 (TI10) looms closer, Dota 2 fans learn more details regarding the grand event. On 17th Sept 2021, Valve announced its official broadcast talent that will be attending The International 10. Alvaro "AvoPlus" Sanchez Velasco was revealed to be one of the talents that will host the event, debuting alongside veterans such as Jorien "Sheever" van der Heijden and Jake "SirActionSlacks" Kanner.

The Spanish caster revealed that on the day he received the invitation to TI10, he could not contain his emotions. “I cried,” AvoPlus exclaimed. “When I got the news, it was like 4 am and I had woken up just by chance because I was jet-lagged. I didn't think I was going to be invited at all. I was very surprised. So, I went outside to the balcony. I told myself I’m going to TI. And then I just cried. It has been my dream for 10 years so I couldn’t believe it in the beginning.“

While several veterans were finally making their return to the grandest stage Dota 2 has to offer, a select few chosen names will be making their English broadcast debut at The International. Among these is AvoPlus, a Spanish talent, who will make his first appearance on the English Broadcast as a host.

AvoPlus began his journey casting amateur leagues and has steadily climbed the ladder inch by inch. However, despite making it to the top, AvoPlus hasn’t forgotten his roots. We caught up with him to chat about how he got his big break, what it takes to be a Dota 2 talent, and journeyed with him through several stories on his road to becoming a TI10 host.
