New State Mobile has been the talk of the town after the Indian government banned Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) under section 69A of the IT Act. Many BGMI streamers and content creators are now trying their hands on Krafton’s New State Mobile which is also based on the battle royale theme. Popular American gaming creator Wynn “Wynnsanity” Curtis is delighted to see top BGMI streamers livestreaming New State Mobile on their Youtube Channels and speculated that the game might experience growth following the ban.

Wynn “Wynnsanity” Curtis is one of the top mobile gaming YouTubers from America. He has been playing several mobile titles on his YouTube channel. Whether it’s PUBG Mobile, New State Mobile, or the newly launched Apex Legends Mobile, the gaming creator has pushed engaging content in every mobile title. However, the American creator has been focussing on New State Mobile after the game was released in November 2021.

Wynn “Wynnsanity” Curtis, in a recent tweet, mentioned that India’s big player base might shift towards New State Mobile if BGMI continues to stay blocked. He pointed out that top BGMI streamers playing New State Mobile have introduced the game to thousands of new viewers overnight, and that this could result in New State Mobile peaking.

Several top Indian streamers including Aditya “Dynamo” Sawant, Naman “Mortal” Mathur, and Raj “Snax” Verma streamed New State Mobile, playing the game on different streaming platforms including YouTube and Loco. With BGMI being banned and top creators playing New State Mobile, the game even managed to top the Apple App Store’s game charts in India.

New State Mobile was launched globally in November 2021 as PUBG: New State, the game was marketed as the futuristic version of the existing PUBG titles across PC, Console, and mobile. In January 2022, Krafton removed the PUBG branding from the game to make it more mobile-centric.

New State Mobile’s launch wasn’t smooth with the game experiencing multiple crashes and issues with poor optimization resulting in a poor gameplay experience even on high-end devices. However, the developer team has ironed out the bugs over the last few months and the game has improved drastically as a result.

However, New State Mobile’s esports scene is still in its nascent stages. At the time of writing, Krafton has hosted a single official tournament for the game: The New State Mobile Open Challenge hosted in South Korea in February 2022 which featured a ~$250 thousand prize pool.
