Wild Rift New Champions: 5 Latest Characters Added to the Game
1. Galio, the Colossus
Role: Mage/Tank
Possible Lanes: Mid, Baron, Support
Difficulty: Easy to use
Price: 5,500 Blue Motes or 725 Wild Cores
Release Date: April 1, 2021
Galio is a tank/mage that is well suited in the mid-lane. However, he can be played in multiple roles such as Baron Lane or as the team’s Support. He is exceptionally good at initiating team fights and deals a ton of AoE damage.
2. Rammus, the Armordillo
Role: Mage/Tank
Possible Lanes: Jungle, Baron
Difficulty: Easy to use
Price: 5,500 Blue Motes or 725 Wild Cores
Release Date: April 22, 2021
One of the most lovable champions in Wild Rift due to his one-line dialogues like “OK” or “Alright.” Rammus is a tank champion well suited in either Baron or Jungle Lane with very unique mechanics. Aside from his incredible mobility, Rammus can reflect any damage back to his enemies. During a team fight, this makes for a lot of instances where champions might get killed by their own skills and basic attacks.
However, he suffers from being easily killed by burst mages who don’t rely on basic attacks or physical damage. Overall, Rammus is a pretty “OK” champion with a high advantage against physical damage enemies.
3. Kha’Zix, the Voidreaver
Role: Assassin
Possible Lanes: Jungle
Difficulty: Moderate, needs practice
Price: 5,500 Blue Motes or 725 Wild Cores
Release Date: May 6, 2021
Kha’Zix is a new champion well suited in the Jungle Lane due to the abilities that allow him to thrive when not within the enemy’s radar. As he levels up, he gains evolution points which he can use to upgrade his abilities and gain additional effects. He gains bonus damage when he’s fighting an enemy champion who is alone, making him very deadly in 1v1 situations.
4. Rengar, the Pridestalker
Role: Assassin
Possible Lanes: Jungle
Difficulty: Hard, very high skill ceiling
Price: 5,500 Blue Motes or 725 Wild Cores
Release Date: May 6, 2021
Rengar is an assassin better suited in the Jungle Lane. He collects trophies from champion takedowns, allowing him to gain bonus stats. He can also pounce onto enemies whenever he is inside the brushes or is invisible, allowing him to catch enemies off guard. He is one of the most powerful assassins in the game that can potentially one-shot marksmen champions. However, he suffers from a lack of defensive stats which makes him fairly easy to take down with proper ward placement.

5. Renekton, the Butcher of the Sands
Role: Fighter
Possible Lanes: Baron Lane, Jungle
Difficulty: Easy to use
Price: 5,500 Blue Motes or 725 Wild Cores
Release Date: May 13, 2021
Renekton is a new champion for Baron Lane but can also be played situationally in Jungle Lane. Renekton gains fury for each attack he makes, which keeps increasing in value the lower his HP becomes. Gaining enough fury empowers his abilities, making him even deadlier. He can even shred the enemy’s armor to make them receive more damage.
These are the 5 latest champions added in Wild Rift. Most of the new champions are fairly easy to use but Kha’Zix and Rengar will require you to spend hours practicing them in order to maximize their potential.
