Through an announcement via his official Facebook page on 6th December, Coach Zico, a stalwart in the Mobile Legends esports scene, revealed his decision to retire.

“I’m filled with gratitude as I share the news of my official retirement from Mobile Legends Bang Bang. My journey was not an easy one but it was an incredible adventure brimming with unforgettable battles, hard-earned victories and memories that go beyond the games,” he wrote.

The trajectory of Coach Zico's career soared from his early days, as the coach for Nexplay EVOS, to the pinnacle of his profession with Burn x Flash. He reminisced about his evolution, from a competitive player in college to achieving the distinction of being the youngest coach in 2021 with Nexplay EVOS and the first export in the MLBB scene with Burn x Flash. "I'll forever carry the numerous hours spent strategizing, competing, and sharing triumphs and defeats with past teammates and companions," he declared.

Starting his journey with Dream High Gaming, now ONIC PH, Zico shared the battlefield with legends such as Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario and Johnmar "OhMyV33nus" Villaluna. Teammates like Geek Fam’s Allen "Baloyskie" Baloy and former EVOS Legends talent Gerald "Dlarskie" Trinchera were integral parts of his early career before diverging paths.

As Coach Zico bid adieu to his storied career in the MLBB esports scene, he extended his heartfelt gratitude to the community and fans for their unwavering support. "I am immensely thankful for the support and camaraderie that defined my time in the Mobile Legends community. While I say goodbye to this chapter, I am optimistic about the future and the endless possibilities that lie ahead," he expressed.
