One of the top-tier support champions in League of Legends: Wild Rift, Yuumi, has received gameplay adjustments on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) server of the game. According to data miners, the champion has been adjusted and now has a lower utility power which may change her playstyle. Yuumi’s poke ability has been buffed, giving it unlimited range which may compensate for her utility adjustments. These changes are currently only made available on the Wild Rift PBE server and are still being tested. Riot Games is yet to announce when the changes may arrive on the regular servers of the game.
Yuumi gets gameplay adjustments in Wild Rift
Everyone’s favorite fluffy cat champion, Yuumi, is one of the most powerful utility supports in the current meta in Wild Rift. Her powerful healing and crowd controls allows for a ton of outplay potential. Additionally, Yuumi’s second skill, “You and Me!” can amplify both her and her ally’s power to an absurd amount in the late game, just by simply building Ability Power items.
However, this may change in the future as the cat’s abilities are being adjusted to lessen her overall support power. This was revealed by the data miner Warden-WR through a Facebook post.
The changes are the following;
[Passive] Bop ’n’ Block
Shield now only lasts for 3 seconds.
Yuumi’s passive shield currently doesn’t get removed unless it’s been broken or depleted. The shield can then be reset after Yuumi charges her passive and strikes an enemy with a basic attack. The new adjustment will force Yuumi to detach herself from an ally and make herself vulnerable in order to reapply the shield.
[Skill 1]Prowling Projectile
It no longer has a range limit.
The projectile currently has a range limit and disappears if it travels outside the proximity. This will allow Yuumi to poke enemies from farther away within the ability’s travel duration.
[Skill 3] Zoomies
Heal upon casting and gain three healing stacks. Cast basic attack to consume the marks.
Now provides less healing
The healing power of Zoomies currently scales with 40% of Yuumi’s ability power. It looks like this power will now be divided into three healing stacks that will need to be activated through basic attacks.
Players should take note that these changes are only present on the Wild Rift PBE server and are yet to be applied to the regular servers. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how these changes may affect Yuumi’s playstyle in the future.
