The word ‘ban’ has been the most threatening thing for the Indian gaming community in recent times. When Indian esports has been at its peak, a ban has been imposed on the particular title. This time, the ban wave caught Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) from the Indian Play Store and App Store. As a result, fans are confused about whether to shift their focus to New Sate Mobile or not. New State Mobile is the futuristic-style battle royale game developed by PUBG Studios and published by Krafton.

Fans fear a ban on New State Mobile in India after BGMI

New State Mobile is the center of focus for the Indian gaming community after the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) ban. Several top Indian streamers have already started to stream New State Mobile on different streaming platforms including YouTube and Loco. The game is currently leading the Apple App Store’s charts in India.

However, fears of New State Mobile getting banned in India have Indian gamers on edge. Several fans believe that the ban wave might hit New State Mobile too as it is also published by Krafton. The recent ban on BGMI was imposed due to data security concerns of the Indian government. According to a senior Indian government official (as reported by News18), the game was transmitting Indian users’ data to the servers located in China.

The chances of New State Mobile getting banned in India are very unlikely since the game is fully developed by Krafton and there is no involvement of Tencent in it. According to New State Mobile’s privacy policy, the Indian users’ data is stored and processed on the servers located in India and Singapore. A Chinese connection to the game is very unlikely as it is not even launched in China. Hence it is safe to say that New State Mobile will likely not face any hurdles from the Indian government in the future.

S8ul Esports member Aman “SoulAman” Jain in his recent livestream explained why New State Mobile will not be banned in India. He said that New State Mobile is fully developed and published by Krafton and has no third-party collaboration with the Chinese company in it.

New State Mobile was launched globally on 11 November 2021. The game offers a futuristic battle royale environment with the features of existing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) titles across PC, console, and mobile. The esports roadmap of the game has not been announced yet as players are eagerly waiting for it.
