New champions leaked for Wild Rift Patch 5.1 Update
According to the data miner, ChowZ, three champions are set to arrive in the Wild Rift Patch 5.1 update on 11th April 2024.
The champions arriving soon are expected to be Maokai, Viego, and Kalista. According to previous hints in Wild Rift Patch Previews, the next release shall feature the Shadow Isles, lending credence to the leaked information.
However, keep in mind that Riot Games is yet to officially confirm the said leaks so take this information with a grain of salt.
Maokai is a versatile champion who adeptly balances the roles of Mage and Tank. His kit includes a passive ability that grants self-healing when damaging foes with abilities. His Ultimate unleashes a vast Area of Effect (AoE) that roots any caught enemies, immobilizing them.
Viego, hailed as one of League of Legends PC's standout champions, boasts the ability to execute adversaries and temporarily take control of them, inheriting a fraction of their attributes and items.
Kalista, a formidable marksman, excels in agility and damage accumulation. Her unique mechanic involves embedding spears into targets, which persist and can be retrieved to inflict damage based on the number of spears attached to them. Moreover, she can establish a spectral link with an ally, hurling them towards a designated area to knock enemies airborne.
Similar to previous updates, a few changes may be applied to these champions if they ever arrive in the Wild Rift patch 5.1 update to ensure balanced and smooth gameplay. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled for more information in the future.
