Wild Rift China reveals Professional Qualification Tournament
The Wild Rift Spark Invitational 2021 has recently concluded. A total of 16 teams that are not part of the LPL group have participated in the said tournament. Da Kun Gaming dominated the scene and claimed the championship title along with the honor of representing China in the upcoming Wild Rift World Championship 2021.
However, the esports scene of Wild Rift China is far from over as they recently announced a new esports circuit. According to a report from ITHome, the upcoming tournament will have three separate tracks with each having its own set of mechanics and qualifications.
LPL Track
The LPL Track will see a total of 17 wild rift teams competing against the top five professional LoL PC teams clashing in the mobile MOBA title.
National Grand Tournament
Thirty-two teams who are selected from the League of Legends Mobile Game National Tournament and the Wild Rift Spark Invitational will compete in the event.
Impact Track
This is a special event, according to ITHome. Invited teams will be competing for a chance to be part of the Wild Rift Professional League.
The top teams from the three tracks will receive a special token called “crystal qualifier medal” that will symbolize their passion, new life, and energy. This medal will also serve as proof that they are one of the top-tier teams of the Wild Rift esports scene in China.
Testing Phase for Wild Rift China is ending soon
ITHome also revealed that the testing phase for Wild Rift China may be ending on 31st Aug 2021. The game server will be closed at 12:00 AM (GMT+8). Riot Games will continue to optimize the game to the best of its capabilities and will be announcing the official launch of the game in China as soon as possible.
Considering that China is one of the biggest markets for League of Legends PC, it will not come as a surprise that Wild Rift will also be receiving a ton of support in that region. It will be interesting to see how big the Wild Rift esports scene will be once it has officially launched in China.
