Indian esports caster Harshdeep “SardarJi” Singh recently spoke out against the practice of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) paid scrims, claiming that they are not allowed by the game developer Krafton itself. He stated that paid scrims are a kind of gambling, and players might not understand what goes on behind the scenes. He explained that many people had been scammed in paid scrims and added that if Krafton says it is wrong, then it is wrong. He also spoke out against the practice of account selling, stating that it is not allowed.

SardarJi speaks out against paid scrims and ID selling

In a recent livestream, one of SardarJi’s viewers asked him why paid scrims are wrong because if a popular team joins the scrim, a lot of teams will join to play against the team. SardarJi stated that paid scrims are inherently wrong and claimed that they are not allowed by Krafton itself. He compared paid scrims to gambling and added that viewers might not understand what goes on behind the scenes. “You see teams playing, but the people that organize paid scrims, they are doing the wrong thing. You don’t know what’s going on behind it,” he said.

SardarJi explained that a lot of people have got scammed in the name of slots, and a lot of people have lost their money while dealing with paid scrims. “That’s why even Krafton does not allow it. Now, there’s no one above Krafton; neither me, you, nor any other team. And if it is saying it is wrong, then it is wrong,” he added.

He further spoke out against the practice of ID (account) selling, stating that it is wrong and not allowed. “You might have seen it, “legit store.” That is wrong. People post “trusted stores,” but it is not allowed. Casters can’t do it at all. We will lose everything; we won’t get to do casting in official tournaments,” he added.

As SardarJi said, players must be cautious when participating in scrims and must verify the organizer before participating or making any payment. Furthermore, the act of ID selling is not allowed by Krafton itself, so players refrain from doing such things.
