Indian esports organization Velocity Esports (VLT) has entered competitive Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) along with a new roster. The VLT lineup consists of the former Team IND quartet of Raj “Snax” Varma, Randeep “Attanki” Singh Bhullar, Daljit "Daljitsk" Singh, and Samir “Kratos” Choubey.

The four players along with Kanishk "Slayer" Shah had parted ways with Team IND on 25th November, with four of them joining VLT a day later on 26th November 2021. This acquisition comes just a couple of days before registrations close for the upcoming Battlegrounds India Series (BGIS) 2021. The closing date for registrations for the BGIS 2021 is this Sunday on 28th November 2021.

Velocity Gaming has entered competitive BGMI

Velocity Gaming stepping into the competitive BGMI scene along with its new roster, marks their presence across two esports title now, namely Valorant and Battlegrounds Mobile India. This is also their third esports lineup, followed by their main Valorant roster and an all-female Valorant team which operates under the banner of VLT Asteria.

We are so excited to enter BGMI by picking up one of India’s most talented teams. We will provide them with the best-in-class equipment and facilities so they continue to perform at the highest levels.
Manoj Kashyap, Owner of VLT

Their BGMI roster is made up of the former Team IND quartet who are considered to be some of the finest players within the country. The VLT BGMI squad along with their respective roles is as follows:

  • Raj “Snax” Varma - Assaulter, Sniper

  • Randeep “Attanki” Singh Bhullar - Assaulter

  • Daljit "Daljitsk" Singh - Sniper

  • Samir “Kratos” Choubey - IGL (In-game Leader, Captain)

This lineup together, under the banner of Team Snax, was able to secure a first place finish at the BGMI Launch Party tournament back in July, winning INR 3,30,000 in prize money through four chicken dinners across six matches.

It was the first official BGMI tournament, organized by Krafton and Trinity Gaming to commemorate the launch of the game. Team Snax was clearly focussed on dominating the tournament and walked away as the decisive victor.

Unfortunately, the team has failed to replicate the same level of success, as victory has repeatedly eluded them in each tournament since then.

While it is with a heavy heart that we are parting ways with Team IND, I'm thrilled for this next chapter we are embarking on as a team. One of the biggest factors behind our success is that we've been playing together for so long, and have developed such brilliant synergy and chemistry in-game and outside it as well.
Kratos, IGL of VLT BGMI Team

Speaking about their future, the team under VLT is now focussed on conquering the upcoming BGIS 2021, which features a total prize pool of INR 1,00,00,000. It will be interesting to see how well the lineup performs in this tournament, since it will be their inaugural BGMI event under the banner of Velocity Gaming.
