Upthrust Esports The Patriot Cup BGMI Grand Finals: Teams, Prize Pool and More

Upthrust Esports The Patriot Cup Grand Finals will be played across four days. The tournament boasts a prize pool of INR 8  Lakhs along with special awards and prize money for individual performances and team performances. The Semi Finals of the event concluded on 26th January and the top 16 teams proceeded to the Grand Finals.

Upthrust Esports held open qualifiers for The Patriot Cup event which had 512 teams participating out of which the top 5 qualified for the Semi Finals. The Semi Finals had 24 teams divided into 3 groups of 8 each. The teams played across four days in the Semi Finals with six matches each day and each team playing four matches each day. The top 16 teams have now qualified for the Grand Finals of the event which will be played from 28th January to 31st January.

Points System

Upthrust Esports has revealed that it will be allocating points to the teams on the basis of the Players Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile Esports points system. The team securing the chicken dinner will now receive 10 points instead of 15 and the amount of points will keep decreasing for lower placed teams. 

This is the points system for the Upthrust Esports The Patriot Cup BGMI event:

• 1st place: 10 points.

• 2nd place: 6 points. 

• 3rd place: 5 points.

• 4th place: 4 points.

• 5th place: 3 points.

• 6th place: 2 points.

• 7th place: 1 point.

• 8th place: 1 point. 

• 9th - 16th place: 0 points.

• 1 Finish: 1 point.

Prize Pool Distribution

The event boasts a prize pool of INR 2.5 Lakhs. The top 3 placed teams will be awarded prize money with the winner taking home a sum of INR 1 Lakh. The event also has prize money for individual performances like the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

This is the prize pool distribution for the event:

• Champion: INR 2.5 Lakhs.

• Runner up: INR 1.5 Lakh.

• 2nd Runner up: INR 1 Lakh.

• 4th Place: INR 75,000.

• 5th Place: INR 50,000.

• 6th Place: INR 25,000.

• 7th Place: INR 25,000.

• 8th Place: INR 25,000.

• Most Valuable Player (MVP): INR 50,000.

• Most Chicken Dinners: INR 25,000.

• Most Dominating Player: INR 25,000.

The Upthrust Esports Patriot Cup Grand Finals event will be live streamed on the official Upthrust Esports Youtube channel and Upthrust Esports Loco from 12 PM onwards.

The Semi Finals of the event was one of the toughest competitions in recent times and several seasoned teams like Revenant Esports, Team 8Bit, Team XSpark and Carnival Gaming could not grab a spot in the event’s Grand Finals. 

The Grand Finals is a good opportunity for upcoming teams like TWM Gaming and Aerobotz Esports to showcase their skills against seasoned teams.
