Upthrust Esports has finally announced the second season of its invite-only Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) tournament, Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 2, scheduled to take place from 4th to 27th September.

It will feature 32 of the best BGMI teams from across the country competing for a total prize pool of INR 12,50,000 ($15,025 USD) split across the League Stage and Grand Finals.

Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 2 League Stage: Complete details

The League Stage of the tournament is currently underway with some of the best BGMI teams from India giving their absolute best to walk away as the champions of Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 2.


Teams

The 32 direct invites have been divided into four groups of eight teams each. Here are all the participants who will be competing in this tournament as per their respective groups.


Schedule and Results

The tournament has been divided into two parts, starting with the League Stage and concluding with the Grand Finals.

  • League Stage: 4th to 20th September

  • Grand Finals - 25th to 27th September

League Stage has been further divided into three weekly showdowns and the score from all three will be combined to form an overall standings, based on which the top 16 teams will qualify to the next stage.

Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 2 League Stage: Top Fraggers (Day 3)

Format

  • A total of 32 BGMI teams have been invited to compete in Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown Season 2.

  • These teams have been divided into four groups of eight teams each.

  • As part of the League Stage, all the groups will play against each other across three weeks, 4th to 6th Sep, 11th to 13th Sep, and 18th to 20th Sep.

  • On each of these match days, six games will be played, resulting in a total of 18 games per week which translates to 54 games across the entire League Stage.

  • Based on the overall standings, the top 16 teams will qualify for the Grand Finals.


Prize Pool

Out of the total prize pool of INR 12,50,000, League Stage comprises of INR 5,00,000 which will be distributed between the top three teams along with the MVP (Most Valuable Player).
