Omega and Akshat share thoughts on how the duo was formed and their journey to the top
Omega and Akshat are one of the most complete duos in BGMI which have stuck together since they formed their first team, and they have dominated the BGMI scene. Omega is regarded as one of the best In Game Leaders (IGL) in the BGMI community and Akshat is among the best assaulters in BGMI, who has come to be known as the “Clutch machine” by his fans.
In a recent interview with Mannu “Krat” Karki on Nodwin's Youtube channel, both of them shared their thoughts on how they met, the teams they played for in the past, and their brotherhood.
When asked about how they met each other. Akshat responded that he used to play a lot of Solo vs Squad Classic matches in Sanhok (Map in BGMI), and he eliminated Omega who used to play Duo vs Squad in Sanhok. Omega liked Akshat’s gameplay and sent Akshat a friend request in game. Although Omega denied sending a friend request to Akshat, he agreed that this was the start of their duo. Akshat also said that the first time they met was through a game in BGMI and the first time they met In Real Life (IRL) was at Chemin Esports’ bootcamp.
The duo was asked about their previous lineups to which Omega replied, “We have been together since we first formed our team. We have been part of Leg Stump (LS), Chemin Esports, Team 8Bit in the past and currently play for Team Soul”. They also revealed they formed a team named Team KitKat in BGMI’s ban period and also termed it as an Unofficial Team Soul.
When the duo was asked about the pros and cons of mixing personal and professional life. Omega responded by saying that, because their synergy has become strong they not only have the same thoughts inside the game but also outside the game. He also said, “When I want the team to do something in game Akshat already knows what has to be done”.
Omega was asked about why he was so keen on having Akshat on his team, to which Omega responded that Akshat has a lot of composure and patience and he is always eager to learn new things.
When Akshat was asked which is better, a team that sticks together or a team that keeps changing. He said sticking together is better and also important as it helps to build synergy and communication between players.
After joining Team Soul, in just a few months, the roster consisting of Omega, Akshat, Goblin and Hector ended the three year trophy drought and were crowned Battlegrounds India Pro Series (BMPS) 2022 champions.
Team Soul is currently playing Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 and is having a good run in the tournament. The team’s fans wish to see them dominate the tournament.
