In a recent livestream, Team SouL’s coach Amit “Amit” Dubey stated players should be able to trust their instincts and communicate with their team.
He stated that Neyo might have played under a strict in-game leader (IGL) like Team SouL’s Sahil “Omega” Jakhar.
He expressed his confidence in Neyo, stating that it might take time, but he will eventually adapt to Omega’s leading style.

Team SouL’s Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) coach Amit “Amit” Dubey recently addressed the struggles faced by the team’s new player Naman “Neyo” since he joined the team. He explained that Neyo might not be used to playing under an in-game leader (IGL) as strict as Team SouL’s Sahil “Omega” Jakhar. He added that it would require time, but once Neyo gets accustomed to Omega’s leading style, he will start playing and communicating well.

Amit expresses confidence in Neyo

Since Neyo started to actively play for Team SouL, despite being a talented player, he has had difficulty coordinating with the team and delivering his best performance. In a recent livestream, Amit addressed this situation faced by Neyo. He stated that it is not always about following the IGL’s callouts, but players should trust their instinct about the game and communicate effectively in any situation, which Neyo struggled to do. He stated that Neyo might have played under an in-game leader (IGL) as strict as Team SouL’s Sahil “Omega” Jakhar, which might lead him to suppress his instincts.

Amit expressed confidence that Neyo will be able to adapt to Omega’s leading style over time. He expressed his belief that once Neyo gets used to it, he will become like Team SouL’s Akshat “AkshaT” Goel, who communicates effectively regardless of the situation. He also put forth the example of Team SouL’s Harsh “Goblin” Paudwal, who is able to perform well despite being scolded by the Omega.

Amit acknowledged that Omega has been playing with Goblin since January 2022 - for over a year, while Neyo has only been playing with Neyo for less than six months. Additionally, Neyo has not played as much with Omega during this time, which could also contribute to his slower adaptation. However, Amit expressed his optimism that with time and practice, Neyo will be able to adapt to Omega’s leading style.

Neyo is the latest addition to Team SouL’s BGMI roster. The organization has not yet made an official announcement about his arrival on the team due to the game’s unavailability. However, he has already shifted to the organization’s bootcamp and started playing and livestreaming with other members of the team. Furthermore, Team SouL’s members, including manager Siddhant “Sid” Joshi, have already confirmed Neyo’s presence on the team.
